Gunther Blancke, a 4th degree Black Belt in several martial arts disciplines, has over 31 years of experience & has dedicated his entire professional career to the Martial Arts. He owns 6 studios in Brussels, Belgium, his country of origin. Growing up in his father's dojos and specializing in Shotokan Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Weaponry, and Kickboxing, he is a 5 time Belgian champion in "kumite" and was European champion 2 years running, after which he stopped competing to share his passion of the martial arts with others and teach his unique style.
Sensei Gunther works together in the USA with his equally dedicated wife, Olga, who is a 1st degree Black Belt and has been training at his side for 11 years. She brings her background of power yoga and Shotokan Karate, improving students' flexibility & muscle strength, helping to perfect their technique.
His studios in Brussels are managed by his brother, Hedwig Blancke, a 3rd degree Black Belt, who works with their team of talented Black Belt Instructors in bringing the unique style of the Blancke Martial Arts Academy to the forefront of martial arts training.
